As Jozy Altidore’s Dutch side AZ Alkmaar preps for Saturday’s road test at PSV, take a quick peak at the U.S. international’s home in the Netherlands.
The brief photo album is from the folks at U.S. Soccer, who have pen, paper, cameras and microphones in Europe at the moment, gathering media nuts for storage ahead of the summer crunch of international matches.
Altidore’s increasingly prolific season is one reason Alkmaar sits second in the Dutch Eredivisie table. Alkmaar would love to steal the points today in Eindhoven and press league-leading Ajax for top spot. On the other hand, keeping second place is big, too, because that’s a Champions League qualifying spot berth.
The young U.S. international has 13 league goals and leads his team with 17 in all competitions.
Today’s match (12:45 ET) is on ESPN Deportes for those who have it.
