Birthdays of Note: Here’s what the official PST book on soccer birthdays says for today: Paddy Atkinson (English player and assistant manager), Danny Tiatto (Australian player), Graham Fenton (English player), Salva Ballesta (Spanish player), Tranquillo Barnetta (Swiss international), Mauro Boselli, (Argentine player), Luca Gentili (Italian player), Matt Jarvis (English player), Vladimir Granat (Russian player), Arturo Vidal (Chilean international) and Pape M’Bow (Senegalese player)
Not a lot to work with … so, let’s see … Barnetta is a decent Swiss international who has cobbled together a respectable Bundesliga career. Boselli has four caps for Argentina. Jarvis isn’t a bad player for Wolves in England. Vidal is a Chilean international who is at Juventus, so that’s not too bad, eh? And, uh …
I know, I know. We definitely need to get a better book.
