This is what the fans around the Warsaw grounds saw unfurled just a while ago, prior to kickoff of the Poland-Russia match.

I don’t know about you, but as public displays of tribal, athletic allegiance go, Herbie the Husker just ain’t quite as intimidating. (And given the history of these two lands, I think you have to file this one somewhere between “dangerously provocative” and “outright hostile.”)

Yikes.

    The US fans should fly a flag just as big but with “We Love Nathan’s Hot Dogs” and a huge logo of a hot dog and Landon Donovan. Let’s go people, make it happen lol
