I wrong a piece before WC2010 contending that Didier Drogba was the best athlete in team sports. I would content that Drogba was a better athlete than Ronaldo is. A lot of what Ronaldo does isn’t so much athleticism (at least, relative to Drogba) as it is put, raw, refined, technical OMG-ness. Drogba … everything seems to flow from an innate athletic fluidity that makes you think that he could do anything and anytime …
