Did we all watch the same game??!! Sure, Italy dominated in ball possession, but shots on goal sucked for everybody. The keepers should’ve had chairs for most of the game.

And England? Where do you keep getting these guys? How many times will you field the same team year after year – Rooney, Gerrard, you know, the Old Guard – and get the same results, year after year? Do you just want your weekend pros to look good, or do you really want to get to the finals at some point? Was there something on that ball Sunday that made you not want to touch it? Because you sure as hell kept giving it back to Italy all day. How do you lose possession on a throw-in?

Italy, I love you guys, but Germany is going to clean your clock if you don’t pick up your game. Keep up the style crap, keep making those award-winning falls, and Germany is going to insure that you go home early, too.

It’s amazing this game went to PK’s, it was total domination by Italy.

Hats off to England though, they played the way they had to and it almost worked.
