How about Lampard signing in MLS and Chelsea taking Dempsey? It might not be that realistic, but I can dream!

Sure, no argument to any of that. I’m not advocating Dempsey remains at Craven Cottage, or that he should look elsewhere … just pointing out a “something missing.” No question this put him CLOSER to Champions League, at least.

Sure, but in the end it is still a high profile team with top 4 aspirations each year so even without the CL it will still be a step up in expectations and exposure.
