Hope Solo drama. Because there’s always Hope Solo drama

Aug 20, 2012, 4:22 PM EDT

Excuse me while I check my watch. Let’s see …

Egad! It’s been hours since our last Hope Solo headline! Quite possibly even longer. So let’s get right to it.

TMZ reports that Solo’s “Dancing with the Stars” partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy has vehemently denied the U.S. goalkeeper’s unflattering allegations about him in her new book.

In her book “Solo: A Memoir of Hope,” she alleges that Chmerkovskiy “manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly. I thought that was just how it went – how dancers worked with each other. But it kept getting worse. One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day.”

(MORE: Former U.S. coach Greg Ryan denies Solo’s allegations)

“Maks” denied any rough treatment, according to TMZ. He also took to Twitter to defend himself with this: “Always hated hypocrites and liars…but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them….”

The amazing thing about social media is that it becomes difficult to avoid a “boy cries wolf” situation.

I’m tired of this woman. Who knows what is true? Which is a disgrace that she consistently defames anyone who crosses her path.

If “who knows what is true?” how can you know “she consistently defames anyone who crosses her path?”

      Your post is idiotic.

Again, as the MLS playoff picture starts to form, MLS games are being ignored and this nonsense is being covered here. Steve, allow me to help. Here’s your next post –

“Hope Solo defames someone she works with for actions taken when no one else was around. She doesn’t get the credit she deserves. She is an amazing woman who is hated in a world controlled by men. She is, in her own humble opinion, the driving force behind women’s soccer.”

There. We now covered every possible Hope Solo post for the next three years. Could you please turn your attention towards the MLS now? Some pretty good games being played out there. Which, I think most would agree, has a LOT more to do with Pro Soccer than drivel about Hope’s time on a dancing show that no one I know under the age of 65 has ever watched.

I guess we wren’t there but if Maks hade been physically abusive don’t you think ABC would have stepped in? If it was true and they did nothing, there’s a thing called liability. The same goes for her allegations of her former coach.
It;s easy to allege things now when you didn’t file charges in the past. Solo is a headcase!
