On CCL/LA Galaxy – I think my heart always wants to believe that Donovan wants part of his legacy to be the team that breaks through and wins CCL. Almost a fairy-tale type of thing. Donovan leads an MLS team to victory in the regional tournament, and then truly having done everything he could hope to do in MLS, accepts a transfer to Everton. The decision to go with Keane and Beckham in the lineup for the opening game added to this. Yet, I can’t trust Bruce Arenas to take the tournament 100% seriously, and I’m not sure the Galaxy players see it as all that important either – other than the obvious “no one likes to lose” thing.
