Quick-hit list of people, places and things we noticed over the weekend that land on the over-done or overly praised side. Not necessarily awful but, you know, just “meh.”

  • “Statement” wins
  • Barry Robson (pictured)
  • Vancouver’s chances in the upcoming chances
  • Rotating goalkeepers (Seriously, who does that?)
  • Presidential election polls
  • Incessant analysis of Presidential election polls
  • Complaints about Ben Olsen’s substitution patterns (I mean, it’s working, right?)
  • Houston Dynamo in anything but a 4-4-2
  • Aston Villa’s pricey offense
  • Paul Lambert’s ongoing praise for Aston Villa’s pricey offense

I have to disagree with “Incessant analysis of Presidential election polls”. It definitely falls under the “awful” category. It can’t even aspire to “meh” level.

Come on now. 51% of Americans love the polls! Especially among undecided voters in OH between 18 and 25 who love Eddie Gaven.
