Zero Tolerance policies are generally some of the worst ideas ever. However private entities have a right to set whatever policies they wish thus I don’t really have a problem with it. However it would be a bit naive to think this doesn’t happen all the time in US sports culture (and most or all cultures around the world). Ultimately there isn’t much difference between insulting sexual orientation, race, moms, family, etc, it’s all quite low-brow.

Context is very important, was he being hurtful to a gay player??? If that is the case then suspend him . If not let it go

Yikes. Thanks for point that out. I have a bit of a bugaboo about Burch v Busch (don’t know why, just a think), which is why 2-3 slipped through. Completely sorry about that.

Oh Rich,
The whole ugliness of this thing is bad enough. But it is Marc Burch not “Busch” that is the guilty party.
The only Busch I know of in MLS has nothing to do with this.
Yeppers, Marc Burch has made a real mess of the Sounders defensive choices. Some things are more important than soccer.
