I had some flashbacks to last year as I watched this game. Didn't SSFC make the same mistake last year and chase a game against RSL that became too wide open, and what might have been a manageable 1-0 deficit going home instead became an insurmountable deficit of 3-0? I can only imagine the flashbacks SSFC fans had.

And, yes, Sounders were very lucky to only be down 3-0 at the end of that game. I thought LAG could have put 1-3 more into the netting and made the second leg completely useless.

The only defense Seattle can offer is they got one day less rest. Both teams now get a week off. If L.A. keeps up the play they've exhibited in their last two games the Sounders won't even have that lame excuse to fall back on. They were flat out-played the entire game. Saunders had to make, what, one halfway-difficult save? Beckham dropping the ball into excellent position on a regular basis and Donovan and Keane running circles around the Sounders' back four was fun to watch. L.A.'s defense was pretty solid, too, for a change. Great job Galaxy!

I think Seattle screwed this one up. They would have been better served to play very conservatively and go for a 0-1 loss. Instead they kept pressing and pressing and are really lucky not to have lost 5-0. And....even with their optimism, they didn't do anything threatening all game.

It just looked like LA was miles better.

Wow! What a disaster of a game SSFC displayed! Not being able to get the goal of "dignity" which at the same time makes being 0-2 down more manageable for next game. No, they like to make it extra difficult on themselves. If SSFC don't make it to final, i expect them to sign a high profile DP striker for next season.

I blame Scmid in this one. Martinez on the left would've been better, Putting Tiffert or Rose in the center would've been my preference, and why not take out just about anybody else for Johnson instead of Montero. Plus you take Tiffert out and none of the 3 $$$ DPs are out there? Get Mauro and Leo back, then #replicate8/5 !!!!!
