But, though I’m not a big soccer fan, I find it hard to believe that that is the greatest soccer goal ever. When I think of some things like the greatest basketball goal, or basketball pass, or (American) football catch, or football run, they are much more spectacular than that. Since soccer is played by tens of millions around the world, I have a feeling there have been more amazing goals than that!

But to be the best ever I’d expect multiple defenders to have been beaten, the ball to arch around as if guided by lasers to find the impossible opening, etc. He’s kicking into an empty net because the goalie made a gigantic blunder.

Baseball fans will be familiar with “hitting for the cycle,” which is getting a single, double, triple, and home run in a single game. That is basically what Ibrahimavic did in this game. He had a long free kick, an acrobatic distance bicycle, a chest trap one time shot that never hit the ground, and a side foot stab shot that made me question physics. Truly outstanding display of the range of scoring abilities all around.

Any chance NBC can use it’s considerable influence and deep pockets to get you guys a source of HD clips? Love to have access to clips to games I didn’t see, it’s a huge benefit of the site for me. But 360p just looks awful to start, and when you try to expand to fill your screen, it’s just unwatchable.
