So, I’ve not seen this reported any but something very cool happened during that victory celebration. Houston’s travelling supporters were kept by RFK security pinned down in their section well back away from the field. So Dom Kinnear and Brad Davis decided to take the cup up to them. Davis, Boswell, Boniek, Hainault, and many others ignored security and climbed in the stadium and carried the EC cup up to the supporters and whole nother celebration ensued. A very special moment for a very special club.

Differences from last year:

The Galaxy have added Keane, who has been incredibly in form as of late. Will be a very tough job for Houston’s back line to keep him in check, but Boswell and Co. are up to the task, IMO.

As for the Orange… it will be very interesting on their left flank. Kandji can run at Franklin and give him fits, opening up the middle for Bruin. Corey Ashe will also make overlapping runs along that side and keep him busy.

I think we will see more offense than last year’s final, especially from Houston – considering the above factors and Brad Davis being available. And I didn’t mention Boniek-Garcia.

Will Donovan be available for L.A.?
