But his best route back to prominence was getting more games on the biggest stage possible … being La Liga and Champions League and some combo thereof. Malaga has an option to buy, I believe, but lacking cash coming in from Champions League could complicate that, as well. Essentially, bad news for the club is just not going to be good news for Onyewu.
