I say this as a person whom follows Philly and understands how good Valdes is and can be. The salary cap is about keeping costs under control and maintaining a stable financially viable league. The cost for that is being a buy cheap/sell high league, not a final destiny league like the big 4 in Europe. The upshot is the Union and MLS by extension should reap a pretty good profit from this move along with being viewed in south American circles as a bit more respectable each time such back and forth moves take place as a place young players can come to further their career. In the process it increases the leagues quality of play which increases it’s viewership which will increase it’s TV packages. It’s a slow process, enjoy it for what it is.

This is why few people take this damn league seriously. every time you have a special player to watch in the league he is gone the next day. I been a fan since 1996 and I have converted many people into MLS fans but if this stuff does not end I won’t be able to support this joke of a league that I keep telling myself It’s not. just wow!
