The homegrown player things is a bit of a joke, go play college ball and then we will claim you.
But it is kind of cool too. The Sounders just signed a player that played right down the road a bit, probably played his high school ball close too.

It is good for fans, local hero. It is good for the player. IF I don’t make it while making lower wages, I am close to home.
