		<description><![CDATA[Of course, it is easy to get excited by the news of a new DP signing but TFC has had pretty dismal performances with this.  

At least on the field, DPs are a pretty mixed bag - they cost a ton (http://tinyurl.com/ad9ku9o) and (http://tinyurl.com/a26qoql) but are not necessarily the highest performers.  

Perhaps it is time for a broader discussion of how they get selected and what type of player we should be going for who fits best into this league?]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Forget what Frings did in &#039;02. This needs to come sooner as he&#039;s tying up loads of cash and a DP spot, to boot. Those things need to be spent on higher quality players that will be around for more than a third of a season. When it all boils down, Frings&#039; leadership and organizational abilities don&#039;t outweigh the fact that most of his salary has been garnered while he&#039;s been injured. Frankly, he&#039;s a liability.

And that&#039;s why today&#039;s news of Cesar signing with TFC is such a positive for the club.]]></description>
