This is the group I’m most looking forward to. Ivory Coast and Algeria are clear favorites, but I think Togo could surprise. Tunisia is also very capable. On another note, conspiracy theory alert: Why are three of the Arab nations in the same group as the Ivory Coast? What’s up with that, CAF?

haha they won’t play nice, remember Halilhodžić is still mad that he was fired by CIV after winning something like 23 of 24 matches lol the ‘golden generation’ is old now, Kolo looks past it, I don’t think Drogba is fit, I expect them to crash out again, but thats why they play the game, so we’ll see

I would have given them nine but I had both them and Algeria only needing a draw going into game three for each to go through, with Cote d’Ivoire securing first place if they just played nice.

Is there any team at any Confederation championship under more pressure than Cote d’Ivoire? Simply put, they have to win it all. Or the “golden generation” will go down as a bust. I think they respond well to the pressure and get all nine points in group play. I also like Algeria to get through to the knockout round.
