Robbie Findley is happy. Jason Kreis is happy. RSL is happy.

Findley-Fores

A certain level of comfort means everything for some athletes.

If the chemistry isn’t right, or maybe something is amiss in their personal lives, they just cannot access their potential. And that tends to make them ordinary.

For whatever reason, Robbie Findley’s time abroad at Nottingham Forest just didn’t “get there.” Injuries played their part, for sure, but he was healthy for some of his two years around the City Ground in Nottingham.

It’s all history now. He sounds pleased as punch to be back at Rio Tinto, back where he scored all those goals (29 in 96 league matches for Jason Kreis’ side). And Kreis is certainly excited to have Findley back in Utah. How happy?

What RSL’s manager told reporters during the club’s media day as preseason camp got going:

So far, our most exciting addition was to bring Robbie back. He’s a great team chemistry guy, extremely hard working and I think he’s in the exact right position for success right now. We are excited to hopefully help Robbie get back to being Robbie Findley on an upward curve.”

“Let’s be frank and honest, Robbie has not succeeded in his latest endeavor, so he comes back to us with something to prove. In our prior experience of bringing a player in with something to prove, and are hungry for something, those players have done particularly well.”
