Soares is going to be a leader (calling it now, he'll be captain within 2 years), but he was hampered by injuries and playing next to Stephen "Yesterday I was a Midfielder, Today I'm a Poor Man's Ike Opara" McCarthy (okay he wasn't that bad 99% of time, he just always leaked a goal every 1%). I remember Khalifa Cisse when he was at Reading. He appears to be the real deal at D-Mid, and Simms might have to fight for his job.

All in all, there is hope. Add some more veteran depth in the back four, and New England might be in contention for one of the last playoff spots. My biggest concern is no preseason time to build chemistry between Sene and Bengtson, which hurt them when they brought Bengtson in last year.
