I mean, from an American perspective, we like to talk about our young keepers like Bill Hamid & Sean Johnson. De Gea is a few weeks older than Hamid and younger than Johnson……and he’s the regular keeper for a club that is 7 points clear in the EPL. He DOES make some boners (like hopping around on that goal), but he also makes a lot of good stops from messes that the defense makes. He distributes the ball really nicely too.

It’s no huge secret what ails United. Their FBs get caught out a lot (especially Evra) and they don’t have a ball-winning midfielder. I mean…..their central midfield today was Anderson and Carrick. There’s no bite in either of them. I think they could play Phil Jones there a little more and just let him be a destroyer when other teams break on them.
