With a number of top teams including Paris Saint-Germain calling, Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has insisted he’s coming back to Swansea next year.
In fact, he’s so confident, he said he’s “grown tired of repeating” himself.
“I’m not negotiating with PSG. I’m staying at Swansea” Laudrup told Danish paper Politiken.
The Dane has been linked with a move out ever since reports surfaced a few days ago that his agent Bayram Tutumlu had a falling out with Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins. But Laudrup continues to insist his future lies at Liberty Stadium.
“I only have focus on strengthening the team to manage the tasks next season and fulfil expectations” Laudrup maintained.
Laudrup is signed with Swansea through the end of next season.
Swans fans will be happy to hear of their manager’s loyalty. After Brendan Rodgers brought them back into the Premier League in 2011, and he led the team to a surprising 11th place finish in the table. That saw Rodgers bolt for Liverpool, and Laudrup took over. Following an even better 9th place finish last season, it’s only natural to see Laudrup linked with moves elsewhere.
The 49-year-old was also said to be a leading candidate to take over at Manchester United before they selected David Moyes to replace Sir Alex Ferguson.
