The day before England’s biggest World Cup qualifier in quite some time against Ukraine in Kiev, some disturbing news regarding one of the Three Lions brightest young talents has emerged.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker as admitted inhaling nitrous oxide to try and gain a legal high, after the English tabloids leaked pictures of the pacey full back taking the substance known as ‘hippy crack’ in a nightclub with his friends over the summer.
Former Sheffield United academy product Walker was back in his hometown of Sheffield in May, and treated his friends to a night out on the town with bottles of champagne and balloons full of nitrous oxide being passed around the table.

In a statement on the FA’s website this morning, they have confirmed that Walker will not be charged after admitting taking the potentially lethal substance that is legal to consume.
Kyle Walker has expressed his regret for an error of judgement when inhaling Nitrous Oxide earlier this year. The FA and the England manager have spoken to Kyle about the matter and he has assured us it will not happen again. Inhaling Nitrous Oxide is not illegal, but we recognize the associated dangers. Kyle has accepted this mistake. He will not face any action under the England Player Code of Conduct.
Walker, 23, has established himself as England’s starting right back in recent months after impressing in the Premier League for Spurs. However this incident will leave plenty of doubt around his conduct off the pitch and cause some embarrassment for the English Football Association as they prepare for the crucial World Cup qualifier against Ukraine on Tuesday.
