Jozy Altidore will hope Gus Poyet allows him the chance to score on his USMNT teammate Tim Howard as Sunderland host Everton in Premier League action.

Sunderland has struggled mightily, winless since February 1st and without a point in their last four. Altidore has been on the bench for much of that, starting just one of the club’s last four matches, and appearing in two.

Howard and Everton, on the other hand, are flying high. The Toffees have won their last seven in a row, and are in control for the final Champions League spot if they can finish out the season strong.

The two clash at the Stadium of Light Saturday live online at 10:07am ET on NBC Sports Live Extra.

Stoke City will sweat the status of Geoff Cameron who was removed at halftime of last week’s loss to Chelsea with an injury. They host Newcastle at 10:07am ET on NBC Sports live extra.

Brad Guzan looks to rebound with Aston Villa after their loss to Fulham, traveling to Crystal Palace on Saturday at 10:07ET.

Down in the Championship, Bolton remain mid-table, with Tim Ream set for another 90 minutes with the team unbeaten in their last five. Duane Holmes looks for more than garbage time for Huddersfield Town at third-placed Derby, where Zak Whitbread has been an unused substitute for 16 matches in a row.

Oguchi Onyewu came off early in Sheffield Wednesday’s match last weekend with a back or rib strain, but no word has come through since it was reported he would have a scan.  Sheffield host Blackburn on Saturday.

Elsewhere across Europe…

AZ Alkmaar has three Eredivisie matches left to catch Heerenveen three points ahead in sixth. They needed a goal and assist from Aron Johannsson to pull out a draw last week, and now they’ll get 17th-placed NEC Nijmegen on Sunday.

With one win in their last six, Juan Agudelo is seriously struggling at FC Utrecht. The striker was a halftime substitute in last week’s 4-1 loss to ADO Den Haag, and still has not scored in nine club matches.  Utrecht are five points ahead of the drop with three matches to go, including Sunday against SC Heracles Almelo.

In Germany, Julian Green is out for some time with a partial dislocation of his shoulder he suffered on international duty. John Anthony Brooks and Fabian Johnson both get Sunday fixtures.  Brooks and Hertha Berlin get struggling Bayer Leverkusen, and Johnson looks to make it five straight full 90’s when Hoffenheim hosts FC Augsburg.

Terrence Boyd returns from a yellow card suspension for Austria’s Rapid Vienna, hosting FC Trenkwalder Admira. Rapid are second in the table, and with first place SV Salzburg a mile out of reach, they’re just looking to fend off Austria Vienna five points back in third.

Liga MX features mostly on Saturday, with Jose Torres on a red card suspension for the Tigres match against Hercules Gomez, Joe Corona, and the rest of the Tijuana bunch.

Puebla’s DaMarcus Beasley and Michael Orozco are in action Sunday against America. They managed just a 0-0 draw with Atlas last weekend after the big hullabaloo over Puebla’s refusal to release the American pair for international duty.

Two Americans have played already today. Jermaine Jones and Besiktas _____________. Sacha Kljestan and Anderlecht __________ vs. KSC Lokeren in a major top of the table matchup.

You mixed up Jermaine Jones and Fabian Johnson. Jones doesn’t play in Germany anymore. Johnson plays for Hoffenheim.

You’re right! Got all the information right and somehow mixed up the names. Thanks for the tip

I hope Jozy faces Tim in this weekend’s game. It’s important for him to be in form.
