Overrated Brazilian striker Hulk could be the latest World Cup player to fall to injury, limping out of Brazil training with a muscle injury to his left leg, according to reports.

After scoring a goal in a scrimmage less than 15 minutes into the session, Hulk received training and could not continue, leaving coach Luis Felipe Scolari with a decision to make ahead of Brazil’s second group stage match.

The Brazilians take on Mexico Tuesday, a quick turnaround from their tournament-opening win against Croatia on Thursday.

There are a number of candidates who could replace Hulk should he be unable to go.  Chelsea winger Willian is a good candidate, with Hulk mainly playing on the right with freedom to roam.

Another who could get a shot would be striker Jo, but with Fred already up front for Brazil, Scolari would need to make some formational accomidations to allow room for a second striker.

21-year-old Bernard could also be a replacement, having come on for Hulk after the starter’s underwhelming performance against Croatia.

Scolari was forced to stop training after a number of crunching challenges by his team in the scrimmage, causing both David Luiz and Bernard to receive treatment, although both players were able to continue. A challenge by Luiz Gustav on David Luiz was the final straw for the coach.
