Biden posts US locker room video; claims Ghana politician was rooting for US

Jun 17, 2014, 2:59 PM EDT

The last time we heard from “Joe Biden” and “Soccer” in the same sentences, he was declaring that the U.S. was “coming to play” and that he’d be there to watch.

And to prove that politicians sometimes follow up, Biden watched the USMNT dispatch Ghana 2-1 on Monday before bringing his family into the locker room to meet with DaMarcus Beasley, Tim Howard and company.

It’s a fun-enough watch, especially with good vibes still in the air from Monday night in Brazil.

He said the governor of that Brazilian province was rooting for the US, not the Ghanaian VP.

Hah ha and Howard thought the girl was the nephew goalie. These things are sooo awkward, but fun for the players. Just shows we are all human.

She is the goalie. Biden clearly points to her and says she’s a goalie. The caption people have it all wrong when they said “he.” They CC’d “Pete” when someone clearly said “Beas” earlier as well.

Not a fan of his politics, but the VP has always been a WYSIWYG type of guy..and for that I actually do respect and tip my hat to him.
