Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge sat out of the friendly against AS Roma at Fenway Park so he could rest up for the upcoming Premier League season. Sturridge says Liverpool is thriving under the pressure of having big expectations for the 2014-15 PL season.
“A lot more is expected of us,” Sturridge said. “Last year we were a surprise package and people thought we were not title challengers. This year, people expect us to win, but I think everybody is thriving under that. They understand that the expectation of the club has always been high.”
