It seems Angel Di Maria is all-but-official as a member of Manchester United, while our exclusive report has a load of interested destinations for Geoff Cameron. What fresh transfer noise is making the rounds this morning?
Table-topping Tottenham could be making moves for a pair of UEFA Champions League midfielders. Barcelona’s Alex Song and PSG’s Adrien Rabiot are targets for Spurs, according to L’Equipe. Song has been through the rumor mills all summer, and 19-year-old Rabiot appeared in 34 matches for the French giants last summer.
Will Southampton be able to draw Atleltico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld away from UEFA Champions League football, and hold off advances from AS Monaco? The Daily Mail says the Saints are ready to pay up for 25-year-old Belgian international in a move that would show the allure of the Premier League, and Alderweireld reportedly wants to play more consistently than he does at Atletico.

The same report has Southampton potentially adding Jordy Clasie from Feyenoord, which would be a coup for the Saints. Perhaps their season isn’t so cooked after all.
French defender Modibo Diakite isn’t getting the playing time he wanted under Gus Poyet, and has “10 options” available to him according to the Sunderland manager. The Newcastle Chronicle says a return to Fiorentina may be on the cards for the 27-year-old, while adding that Cabral and Danny Graham could also join the growing list of players to leave the Stadium of Light this summer.
Hull already have four points under Steve Bruce this season and could add striker depth in Jordan Rhodes. The Blackburn man has netted in prolific fashion, but the Rovers have held on tight to their star. The Daily Mail says Rhodes may just force Blackburn’s hand.
Finally, Sunderland could add a big name to its ranks, as Salomon Kalou‘s Ligue 1 renaissance campaign could bring him back to the Premier League. The Daily Mail says Wolfsburg and Borussia Monchengladbach also want the 29-year-old, who scored 14 and 16 goals in his past two Ligue 1 seasons with Lille.
Arsene Wenger used his pre-match UCL presser to say Lukas Podolski isn’t leaving the Emirates.
The Times says Arsenal could pay less for William Carvalho if they allow one of their players to go on loan to Sporting Lisbon.
