WATCH: Juan Arango hammers one of the hardest strikes you’ll see

Aug 30, 2014, 1:45 PM EDT

Juan Arango’s first goal for Tijuana was absolutely smoked into the goal.

The 34-year-old Venezuelan attacking midfielder transferred to Mexico from Borussia Monchengladbach this year, and is already paying dividends.

The goal gave TJ a 1-0 lead, though it wouldn’t stand as the winner. Leones Negros later found an equalizer.

Tijuana is the home of seven American players, including Joe Corona, Fernando Arce Jr and Greg Garza.

The thud when the ball hits the crossbar is pretty amazing. Not only do the Xolos have 7 US players on the team, their home games are on Azteca, which at least in Denver is a broadcast network, so cheapskates like me hanging on to the rabbit ears have an easier time catching Xolos games than Rapids games on TV. The games have not been spectacular this season, but if you have cut the cord and need a soccer fix, you should join me on the Tijuana bandwagon.
