It has taken all day, plus a last-gasp extension granted from the Premier League, but Radamel Falcao is finally a Manchester United player.
Falcao, 28, has signed a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco and United are thought to have a deal in place to sign him permanently for $80 million if he impresses on loan.

The AS Monaco forward flew to England on Monday morning but his medical, then the subsequent paperwork, took longer than expected and Falcao’s deal was confirmed over two hours past the deadline of 6 p.m. ET.
Regardless of that, the Colombian international is now a Manchester United player and will partner the likes of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney up front. Talk about mouthwatering.
Louis van Gaal made Falcao his sixth and final signing of the summer window, as the predatory striker followed Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera, Angel di Maria and Daley Blind through the entrance at Old Trafford. Those six players have cost the Red Devils over $200 million in transfer fees alone. As for their new forward, Falcao has scored 155 goals in his last 200 games for Monaco, Atletico Madrid and FC Porto over the last five seasons.
Enough said, right?
United have scored just two goals in their opening three PL games and with Di Maria and Falcao on board, plus Rooney and RVP, the Red Devils are going all-out attack to try and get back into the top four this campaign.
LVG went for it, big time, on transfer Deadline Day. Will it pay off?
